Shift, Control, Option, and Command Keys Locking

From: Anonymous

For the love of God, please make it stop! Every time I accidentally hit the Shift, Control, Option, or Command key twice, it locks. I just hit it again to unlock, but by that time I'm already cursing. Is there any way to turn this function off?

You have somehow managed to turn on Sticky Keys, a Mac OS X helping feature designed for people who have only one hand to type with. To turn it off, open the Universal Access panel of System Preferences, click Keyboard, and turn off Sticky Keys.

Or just read Mac OS X: The Missing Manual, where all of this is described in much greater detail. :)
