Paper Size: For International Readers

From: Ross Bryon
Date: July 2002

An annoyance continually experienced by non-U.S. users is the default paper size of "US Letter" in the Page Setup dialog box. OS's previous to OS X allowed you to change this default (to A4, for instance). If this can be done in OS X, you don't seem to have covered it in Mac OS X: The Missing Manual. If it can be done (can it?), you might include it in future editions.

Ross

Hi Ross,

It can't be done in Mac OS X version 10.1. You'll be relieved to hear, I hope, that Apple has restored this feature in version 10.2, which will be released at the end of August (and covered in the second edition of Mac OS X: The Missing Manual).
